5/22 Despite a 1-2 finish from Lucas (42) and Anthony (49), the Wolverines could only manage to tie Walsh in our final match of 2009. We missed Kirk, who was at Houghton String Fest.    This was Lucas's final golf (or any sport, for that matter) competition of his high school career!  Congratulations on a strong finish, Lucas, getting your 7th medalist of the year! 

5/19  The BR Wolverines split two matches on Tuesday, defeating Houghton and falling to Wellsville.  Lucas medaled for the 6th time this season, coming in with a fine 41.  His round included a four foot eagle putt attempt on number 15, and a 40 foot eagle chip attempt on 17.  We played the back nine for the first time in my four seasons as coach.  It was Lucas's Senior Night, and he really came through.  Lu has been a member of the varsity golf team for six seasons, and been part of dozens of victorious matches.  Kirk and Anthony shot 49, Alex 55 and Adam 61.  Andrew did not score points, but his 66 was the low round of his very young golfing career.

5/18  Lucas Pruch shot a 46-48 94 at Brook-Lea CC in Rochester Monday in the Section V State Qualifying Championship.  Two tough holes did him in, as he played well for most of the day.  Congratulations Lucas for representing BRCS so well for six years!

5/15  The Wolverines dropped a 35-20 match to Cuba-Rushford Friday on a summery day in Bolivar.  Lucas led the way for the BR golfers with a 44.  Next came Anthony with a 50 and Kirk at 51.  Rounding out our scoring were Kevin at 61, Matt at 67 and Adam at 68.  Our record is now 7-5.  We're at 7-2 in the county, in second place. 

5/12  The Wolverines defeated GV Tuesday in Bolivar 34-21.  Leading the way were Lucas Pruch (44), Kirk Windus (50) and Alex Harenda (51), who took the top three spots.  Anthony Emery had a 55, Matt Dameron a 63 and Andrew Mowrer an 84.  We're now 7-1 in the county, in second behind CR (9-0).

5/11  QUALIFIER RESULTS: Congratulations to senior Lucas Pruch.  Lucas used back-to-back birdies on the par 5 numbers 7 and 8 holes to shoot an 88 at Wellsville Country Club Monday, thus qualifying to compete in the Section V Championship next Monday.  Great job, Lucas!

Also finishing in the top ten for BR were freshman Kirk Windus at 95 and sophomore Anthony Emery at 98.  Anthony broke 100 for the first time!  With about four seniors ahead of them graduated by next year, Kirk and Anthony should be among the favorites to grab a spot the next couple of years.

Alex Harenda and Adam Austin both shot 111. Kevin Morsman had a 121 in his first 18 hole competition.
