![]() Girls Soccer Wrap-up 2008 Coach Emery and the entire Girls Soccer program would like to thank everyone for their continued support this season. The Girls Varsity Soccer Team Toped off their season by winning the Allegany County Division I title for the third straight year in a row! "I was truly amazed by the progress of this team this season", stated Coach Emery. "I sort of had a feeling about this group, however, after we started practicing in August. I just felt they were quick learners and very athletic and… you know in soccer, that is a marvelous mix! It was such a rewarding experience and I am so happy for the girls." When asked about the Sectionals Coach Emery said, "We were all a bit disappointed that we didn't go further in the play offs, because we felt like we were peaking at the end of the season, but who would have figured 16-4 after losing nine starters from the year before." The girl's team had a season high win streak of 11 games in a row before falling to Keshequa in the quarter finals 1-0. About the contributions of his relatively inexperienced team Coach Emery stated, "It makes me happy for our entire program! In fact, Ms. Henneman (at the JV level), Ms. Nicholas (at the Modified level), and all of the community members that have made our youth soccer programs so successful over the years… have a lot to be smiling about!" Team Information: Final 2008 Record, 16-4 Record over the last 4 years, 65-13-4 (.793%) JV 2008 Record, 8-6-1 Modified 2008 Record, 3-6-3 Allegany County Division I Champions (3rd time in a row).
